Oh Man... Let Me Change That! Wo0t!

FOR TODAY... I'm late night blogging again.

Outside my window...Well It's a night time scene. I'm in my usual spot with my back turned away. I should really change that because I like looking outside. All clear. It was a nice day today. Warm enough for the kids to play outside. Warmer weather is coming, but my grandmother always says there is a freeze before Easter. Easter is on the 31st this year.

I am thinking...About looking to see if there will be a freeze in the forecast or has it already happened. I'm also annoyed at my rocking chair squeaking  Ugh. Well at least it motivated me to move to another spot allowing me to see the twinkling lights outside. Oh and there is also the question of what to do this Saturday. I'm so excited yet worried about having a home business. I just hope people don't think my products are garbage.

I am thankful...

For God's way of reaching my heart. There were some changes made in me today. You know how you are confronted with the ugly side of yourself and God says hey... that's you. That happened to me today. I was able to let go and forgive. This was huge! I mean a huge weight off of my shoulders. The offense was what it was and is where it is, in the past. My heart is changed. I can now pray for the person, I can actually pray they have blessings. Before I just didn't care one way or another. Letting go doesn't mean you validate their wrong, it just means that you no longer hold that in your heart as important. It doesn't rule you. It's no longer as big as it once was. You don't give it power that it doesn't deserve. You can see past it and move forward.  It's like caring a back pack that is dirty and heavy. It might even leak sometimes. You stop it up at random times by what ever emotional reaction would work. Then it leaks again. Today I put that back pack down. I dropped the dirty mess.  I might even unpack it and deal with individual memories and cast them away. *Poof* to each one. Today instead of pointing the finger, I was able to see me, and my faults.  It stinks to see that, but it sure helps you to change for the better. In the past week I made some pretty life changing promises to my kids and husband. See my problem is my mouth. I can say things in a very wrong way with the right motive. Even though the motive is "right" the words are wrong. The words are what they hear and the words are what hurts. So I took steps to correct the annoying things I say. I can do it. I know now that I can because God has made those things I thought were justifiable, wrong and ugly. I don't want to go there anymore. As hard as it may be, it's a good thing. Change is good... for everyone! Here's to a happier nicer me!
In the kitchen...There is a mess. It's from food and me working to make products. Our kitchen is a highly traveled area. Tonight it was were we all stopped to talk about the dance the teens went to. I sit on the floor with the little ones and do whatever they wish. We have our Gangnam Style dance moments usually initiated by baby Fia. It's a meeting place. It's a eating place. It's a messy place.

I am wearing...
My favorite grey shirt and yellow PJ pants. lol I'm always stylish!

I am creating...
New products, a better life, a brighter future, good memories... I'm creating a blog post.

I am going...
To bed soon.

I am wondering...
Off into a new area of life.

I am reading...

My screen.

I am hoping...
To be a successful person in motherhood. I want my kids to speak fondly of me. I want my kids to know I taught them right. I'm hoping my business will take off and do well.

I'm hoping to move out of the Midwest soon.

I am looking forward to...
Going to sleep. You know that just got into bed ahhhh feeling... yeah that!

I am learning
I should change. I should not be afraid. I should do stuff regardless of what others "might" think.

Around the house...
There is family.

I am pondering...
How early will the little ones wake up. The little ones feel asleep on the way home today in the car.

A favorite quote for today...
I'll make mine up, "Today was a good day" and "Are You Rob Base?" LOL Thank you Ria for that laugh. She saw this paper someone wrote up at work.

One of my favorite things...
My kids. Tonight we went grocery shopping with the little ones while the older ones were at their dance. Moments with the little ones...

A few plans for the rest of the week:Not to argue, and to enjoy it! Also to remember "I can't but God Can."

A peek into my day...
This was work for the day.

Sending out orders, tweeting, and trying to market on a very small budget.

Oh and... Wycelf Jean and CurlMart are following my @purnaturalblnds twitter!
Oh and another highlight of the day, as I'm off to bed there are officially 401 entries into my first giveaway on www.purenaturalblends.com! That completely exceeds my goal. I am **excited!!** ><

Wo0t! Ok off to bed I go!

Projects and Such

Well Hello All! I hope this winter season has been a great one. For me it's been rather mild. I am ready for weather I don't need a jacket for though. Then again I'm always ready for that! I've got a few projects going at the moment.

Today I finished off some homemade diaper inserts. We use gdiapers and we love them. We were using the disposable/flushable liners which are great, but we are having to buy them all the time. So the cost effective advantage isn't there. We bought the Flip inserts but they have this ammonia odor that is just ugly! So I haven't used them much since we bought. After dealing with the smell all we could, we went back to using the disposable/flushable inserts. Recently I saw a tutorial on http://seekatesew.blogspot.com that I found fairly easy to use.  I don't have a serger so I did a zig zag stitch around the edges. I made them with soft fleece and a plain cotton cute fabric. Got it all on sale at Hancock Fabrics. Thank you to Kate for the tutorial! Hers look so much better. It was an easy project and a money saver!

I'm in the middle of making our own diaper bag.

We need a bigger diaper bag with a toddler and baby. I decided to take on the challenge of creating one that fit our needs. I have a list of things that we need to have and created the diaper bag off of that list. I've got the bag done with the pocket inserts inside. My problem now is it's flopping inward. I wanted the sides to be a bit more sturdy. So I'm trying to sort that out.  My son says it looks more like a nanny bag with the sides floppy. lol Thanks son!Guess what! Baby Fia turns 5 months today!
She's such a snuggle bug too. Every morning she wakes up with a smile.  I hope she never loses that joy. I'm happy that all is well and she still hasn't got any teeth coming through! It keeps me in denial that she's growing up lol! She does like to try and talk which is too cute!

I am so very proud of my dear friend and sister Tony Robinson! She has written her first book and Wow what a great one it is! I can't say enough about her. Tony has been there for me every since my older kids were toddlers. She's seen me through good and bad. She's hung in there with me through my crazy times. She's talked sense into my head during my "I'm about to lose it!" moments. She's seen just about the worst of me and has always been able to bring me down to earth lol! I tell you, she, Tony Robinson has been a priceless friend. She's always given me great spiritual advice in every situation. She is an inspiration, an encourager, and a Well Watered Woman! I pray your cup runs over with blessings from the Lord! Please do purchase her book Water From The Well. You will be blessed!  I got my copy and saw she even put in a mention for measly ol me! Love you Tony!

Along with spiritual growth we've been doing the 100 days of Real food challenge for physical health. It's not bad! I am surprised at how easy it is to do. We've enjoyed the food and plan to stay on this path. I do wish our Whole  Foods store wasn't so busy. I have to figure out when the best time to go shopping there. Today I've decided besides the Tofu Chocolate Pie, I like the Strawberry Parfait! We make them in these little cups. Yes we do recycle them! I think after we are finished we will invest in some better clear cups we'll keep. So we use some granola we found at Target by Archer Farms it's French Vanilla Almond Crunch. (lol wait does this count as "real food" since I'm not making it??) , Maybe I will looking to trying to make it. Not sure yet but anyway we use that Granola, strawberries, drizzle it with honey, and then Vanilla Yogurt. I repeat until the cup is full. Yummy!

Just closing with this, I made these little shoes for Helaina. She rarely wore them. I am so happy baby Fia can! I plan on making a few more shoes for her but using a different pattern. They are so easy to make! I haven't found a pattern I've settled on yet. I've just done a google image search on "Make baby shoes" and saw all the cute shoes! Oh brain overload! Ok on that note, I'm out. Enjoy your day!

uploading expressions

Hello again.
Another blog so soon? Maybe but it will be short. You know how you have your wants and desires but never get around to them? One of mine is photography. I really get a joy out of viewing photos. I like to see what's going on in photos of crowds, I like expressions in portraits, I like to see beautiful color in photos of objects and a photo with an overall mood really grabs my attention. So what do I do with all this emotion and such? I thought about starting a photo group but I don't think I'd put 100% into it. I haven't totally given up on the idea. I have several friends that like photography so I think it would have a good number of people join but not now. So what did I do? I started a photo blog. Yes, a blog with a photo a day and very few words. Nothing like the gobs and gobs of photos on my picasa or flickr accounts but just a simple photo a day. I've got it up and running now. The challenge is actually uploading a photo a day. Some of them may be old from the archives and some might be new. The one I just put up is the newest one I've taken. Some maybe not be so interesting and others may just have you staring. I won't put up any old photo, it will be of something that I like. It will be of something that interests me or makes me laugh. No, not a degrading photo, but something that will generally make you smile. I like photos that give a good feeling. We've got too much pain in our lives anyway so I don't focus on that. I'm not fond of nudes either so you are highly unlikely to see any body photos. I know some may feel that the body is beautiful, natural in forum etc. Yes that is true but not something that interests me. So if you like visit here http://bytesoflight.blogspot.com/
and leave me a comment of some things that interest you. Feel free to leave me comments on the photos too.

Thanks for reading again. I hope you've had a great day or you will have one.
